The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival was held April 8-10 and we were fortunate to have the opportunity to perform there on April 10th. It was a beautiful day to be outside and we started out with about 30 of our members on the Arts and Culture in Montgomery County Venue. In the capable hands of Karla Callaway, our director for the day and featuring RAVE, our 4th place regional quartet, we started off with a fabulous set including two of our contest songs.
We had an hour between performances which allowed us time to check out the wonderful art vendors and other performance artists. This festival really brings some of the best talent in the country together in The Woodlands.
Next up we performed at the Watercolor Terrace Venue. The terrace area seating was full and we put our A game out there once again for the audience. By now we were getting hungry so we headed to Mi Cocina for lunch and sang a couple of songs for the diners. We heard from several patrons and staff how much they enjoyed our music. It was a great event and a wonderful way to spend a Sunday. What could be better than singing, eating, laughing and visiting?!
