Sweet Adeline's International Competition is coming up at the end of October and The Woodlands Show Chorus is fine-tuning their contest semi-finals set.
Each week these dedicated singers try their very best to tune each chord, especially through difficult key change. They strive bring forward motion to each phrase, synchronize the rhythm and tempo on both the ballad and the up-tune, AND unify visual communication through characterization and movement.
TWSC is incredibly fortunate to have, not ONE- not TWO - but, THREE members of the International Judging Panel to help coach them through this journey to international competition. Janie Macchiaroli (pictured in all three photos) has been helping the group stay focused on keeping every aspect of the sound production in the same placement. Director Betty Clipman (upper photo, on left) consistently reinforces the Sound production and accuracy as she directs and coaches. Associate Director Kerri Mauney (lower photo, on left) is focusing on the Visual Communication category. Rehearsal is good as GOLD with this amazing 'triple threat' !
There will be a free Friends and Family evening performance, Monday, September 30, 8 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church, 8 p.m. Both the semi-finals set and the Finals Package will be performed for the public. Hope to see you there!
