So many events, so little time to report!
The Woodlands Show Chorus has installed our 2025-26 Management Team! Check out the photo from the Installation and Awards dinner on the upper right. We enjoyed dinner at the Olive Garen in Conroe and had zookeeper Hostess Denise Tazumi with her side kick helper Elizabeth McCurdy induct the Leadership Team by giving examples of how wild animals can be excellent leaders. Let's hear it for our wild and wonderful team: (left to right) Pam Parrish - Membership, Dian Sandefur - Fundraising, Tessa Huber - Marketing, Carol Herman - Team Manager, Carolyn Slater - Finance, Kerri Mauney - Music and Karla Fenton-Technology. Looking forward to working with these ladies to make TWSC a wonderful place to have a little walk on the wild side!
That same evening we found out that Biari Girvin was awarded our Sweet Adeline of the Year! Congratulations to this deserving member! The oval picture frame is actually a photo from a rehearsal, when our director Kerri awarded Biari with her new badge...which now also includes the year she was chosen. Yay for Biari: TWSC loves and appreciates YOU!
TWSC sure enjoys singing and learning new things together, even if we have to travel a while to get to the workshop! In June, several of our members went all the way to New Orleans to meet with SLAM-DUNC, a dynamic duo of two QUEENS, Michaela Slamka-Johnston and Mary Duncan (from Class Ring). These ladies spent Friday night and all day Saturday sharing incredible information, hour after hour, about so many topics! It was "information overload" for sure. Upper left photo is, pictured left to right: (front) Michaela Slamka Johnston and Pam Parrish (middle) Dian Sandefur and Kerri Mauney (back) Mary Duncan, Karla Fenton and Phyllis King. What a blast we had learning all sorts of new and incredible ideas! A special Thank you Crescent City Sound Chorus for hosting lunch and thank you Region 10 Education Edna for inviting these fun, friendly and fantastic clinicians!
